Adobe Photoshop CS5 comes with a good number of 3D materials that you can apply to the 3D models imported to Photoshop from 3rd party applications or the 3D shapes created in Photoshop.

The new 3D materials library is  ZXP Adobe Extension Manager CS5 format and you can download it from the Photoshop 3D site and install it by simply double-click the file to install it through the Adobe Extension Manager.

The new library includes different materials such as Fabrics, Glass, Organics, Tiles, Fun, Metal, Stone and Wood. When you install the 3D materials, you can reach it through the 3D materials drop-down list in the 3D panel. You can click the context menu to append any type of the 3D materials or replace the current materials.

Thanks alot for your comment and sorry for the late reply. No, the book will only cover the 3D in Photoshop and how it integrates with other Adobe products such as Flash and After Effects.
